Bosniaks identify themselves as Ottomans and not Turks, because they were Ottomans. Turkish flag is red with a crescent and a star. Look at the Ottoman coat of arms where there are two flags: a green one with three crescents and a red one who looks like the actual Turkish flag.
Cool picture, love the grunge style. Although I gotta say, not quite thrilled about those crescent moons. Much more cooler with only lillies. Dont really like the use of the crescent moons, considering they are turkish symbols, not Bosnian.
I hear that from a lot of People but the thing is that this is not a Country Flag it's a national flag of the Bosniak minority in Serbia and Montenegro.
And why it has Lillies and Crescent's is cause the Territory today called as Sandzak was back in the time before the Ottoman Empire conquered the Balkans was a Part of the Bosnian Kingdom for a half Decade. And the Term Sandzak (Sanjak-Sancak) was known for an administrative division in the Ottoman Empire that was called Sandzak of Novi Pazar. And because the name Sandzak stayed till this Day the Bosniaks associate themselves with Bosnia and with Turkey.
